Sandicliffe Motor Contracts rank 36 in the newly released FN50 list.
FN50 is the annual guide compiled by Fleet News, ranking the largest 50 contract hire and leasing companies in the UK. Last year Sandicliffe Motor Contracts ranked 35 so despite slipping one place, the East Midlands-based firm has actually increased their overall fleet size by over 250 units.
This typifies an overall trend across the 50 listed companies, with most of the businesses reporting an increase in overall fleet size on last year.
The 2015 list was unveiled Tuesday, 3 November at the annual FN50 dinner and networking event which took place at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in London. Around 950 guests attended the event, headline sponsored by Škoda, which also gave ample opportunity to network and a moment to reflect on the current state of the fleet industry.

Gary Benfield, managing director at Sandicliffe Motor Contracts, who attended the event alongside sales director, Phil Elms said, “The FN50 is a great occasion to shine a spotlight on contract hire and leasing businesses, and celebrate the diverse range of businesses that make up the varied landscape of our industry.
“From the giants in the top 10, to small-medium sized businesses like ourselves occupying the middle ground, it’s a great example of the variety of services and models available to businesses running fleets in the UK.”
Although the top ten remain mostly unchanged from last year, as the trend would suggest overall fleet sizes have grown. Top spot occupier Lex Autolease, owned by the Lloyds Banking Group, have added another 1,700 units to their fleet and continue their market dominance.
