In its third year, the REAL Rally is gearing up for another fun-filled, money-raising motoring adventure.
With 54 teams entered from across the vehicle repair industry, today is the day the three-day charity event kicks off, setting off from Telford Hotel and Golf Resort.
Although not a race, the event looks to test teams’ buying and preparation skills. Each team must purchase their REAL Rally car for less than £1,000 and be up for some wacky decoration and hilarious fancy-dress.

Raising money for REAL
All for a good cause, the REAL Rally is an initiative of the Essex-based children’s charity, REAL, the Ethan Rees Linwood Memorial Fund.
In conjunction with AutoRaise, all monies raised will go towards REALfriends, supporting local bullied children, and REALexperience, creating apprentice opportunities for 14-16 year olds in the vehicle repair industry.
During the three days, the teams will travel across the beautiful North Wales countryside, stopping off along the way at destinations including Zip World Penrhyn Quarry where the REAL Rally crew get the chance to ride the fastest zip line in the world!
The first overnight stop is at the luxurious four-star Castell Deudraeth Hotel in Portmeirion where the teams can kick back and relax, and enjoy a BBQ and disco, proudly sponsored by Sandicliffe Motor Contracts.
From there, they visit the Anglesey Race Circuit with the second and final overnight stop in Chester.
